The GAF Roofing Academy provides a comprehensive steep-slope roofing with a high-level introduction to solar roof-top installations. The graduates of the program receives OSHA-10 and a GAF Roofing Academy certification. Completion of the program signals to roofing employers that the graduates have the proper entry-level skills for a roofing installation position in both commercial and residential roofing. This two week program will also provide you with the opportunity to learn the basics processes to start your career in roofing sales. All graduates will have multiple opportunities to interview with hiring contractors towards a career path of their choice.

Program Details:

Program duration is 2 weeks, 8 hrs daily. 

( 8am - 5pm) Mon - Fri.

  • 1st week: Intro to GAF Steep Slope roofing systems using HDZ shingles and Intro to GAF Timberline Solar. (The world's first nailable solar shingle)
  • 2nd week: Intro to the IN Home Sales process and Intro to Low Slope "Single Ply" systems
  • Graduates will be provided a set of basic hand tools (commercial or residential) upon proof of employment.
  • Graduates will receive a certificate of completion as a GAF Roofing Academy Graduate.
  • Upon Completion, graduates will have the opportunity to interview with our GAF certified contractors and employers in the area for full-time employment.
  • Transportation to and from training facility is the responsibility of the attendee.
  • Light breakfast and lunch provided each day.
